About Jaci
I’ve been painting professionally for over 30 years, mostly here in the UK following a move from my native Queensland in Australia to the cooler climes of a 30 acre lake in South Gloucestershire. I produced most of my work in acrylics but in 2019 started working in soft pastels.
I found initial commercial success with my range of Vessels paintings which were shown and sold at various galleries. Greater success has come from flower paintings where I like to come off the canvas and make bold statements. I loved exhibiting every year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show from 2004-19 where I met so many customers and found new, challenging commissions.
A temporary move to America and lockdown gave me the opportunity to explore new subject matter in a new medium and I am now primarily using soft pastels and pastel pencils to produce mainly wildlife works, but also some landscapes and still life.
For many years I created a range of homeware with my original designs that include a range of greetings cards, T-towels, table mats, trays, platters and coasters. I hope you agree that they all make wonderful gifts. I’ve always been proud to source everything from UK suppliers. Sadly, prices have risen so much that I am now going to discontinue the homeware products as the stock sells out at the original prices. I will continue with greetings cards of my floral designs and the Wildlife Series which I just created.
I think that most of all, I love to work on commissions. I’m fortunate to have work dotted around the globe but it’s the UK where most of my work is hanging on the walls of customers, many of whom have become friends. I love the whole journey of working with someone to create exactly what they can see and want in their home. My work in pastels has really added to the opportunity to do more and varied commissions.
I am always happy to undertake commissions and look forward to discussing them with. You can contact me here.
